Painting
Although I have worked with some forms of paint, I would like to further study painting in its true form. I believe it would be interesting to learn how to actually draw something using oil paints. I would like to learn the techniques of drawing with paints using the right brushes and strokes for the perfect picture. I would also like to learn more about abstract art and painting.
Laser cutting
I have taken a couple of classes where I had to use laser cutting. I would like to explore more with laser cutting and engraving. The one item I did make was very difficult because of trying to make it 3D before it was cut. I had to do several tries before I was able to get it right. I would love to learn how to use the machines more effectively and practice with different kinds of materials. I think it is amaing that you can make jewlry with a laser cutter from a 3D pattern. This could be very useful especially if you are doing set designs.
Web Design
I believe that learning more about web design could help with my art career. Being able to make a layout that could best showcase my work would be wonderful. I would want to learn how to create links to solicit jobs where people can actually see a sample on the web page. A web page could show a sample of work and lead them into a products page and cost page. If not a main business this could definitely be a go way to make extra money.
